About the green and white passes
The green and white passes were designed to enable quick entry at places with Vaccination status checks², and is available on the app versions 2.11 and above.
At places without Vaccination status checks, users can enter regardless of their green or white pass.
*Please note for Group check-in: You’ll see a white pass by default, i.e. it will not reflect your Vaccination status nor check the Vaccination status for everyone in the group, for privacy and security reasons. Once the venue staff sees your Group check-in pass, everyone in the group can show your own Vaccination status for entry. We understand this may create inconvenience, but your data privacy and security takes priority 🙇🏽♀️
The green and white passes only show when you check in via SafeEntry QR. As with previous versions of the app, check-ins done by tapping your app against the SafeEntry Gateway Box or SafeEntry Business App will not trigger the display of the passes.
Lastly, the green and white passes only apply to check-in passes. There is no differentiation in check-out passes 😊

Understanding the elements in the green pass
1. Icons (on top left)
- Syringe icon: You meet the vaccination requirements. Memo icon: Your Pre-Event Test (PET) status is ‘Cleared’.
- For users’ self-reference on how their green pass was determined. Venue staff do not need to check the icons.
- Note: For places with specific Vaccination and/or PET requirements (e.g. all guests have to be vaccinated and tested), venue staff can use the icons for easier verification.
2. Animated Otter
- For venue staff to easily check that it’s not a screenshot. Plus, what’s not to like about a cute floating otter 🦦😉
- Note to Android users: If you do not see the animated otter, check if your device's animation settings are enabled (go to 'Settings' > search for 'Animation').
3. Green Background
- For venue staff to sight the green pass from a distance, so that queues can clear quickly 😊
